How Does It Work
Insanity claims it is the most difficult workout program in the market because of the strenuous pace of every workout in the program. There is no equipment needed because it uses the body as resistance. The program involves working out six times a week, with a workout lasting between 30 and 60 minutes. All you need to do this workout is a TV, a DVD player, good trainers, some space and will power.
The system is based on a concept of ‘Max Interval Training‘. The traditional way required you to exercise at a high intensity for a short period of time with long rest. Max Interval Training is the opposite of that. You work as hard you can for three to five minutes and short periods of rest.
The good thing about it is you can do it in the comfort or convenience of your own home. The program is easy to follow because they are visual and will challenge you, regardless of how fit you are, you will sweat.
You will change the workout schedule on a monthly basis during the 60 days of the program. In the first month, you will alternate between five intensive workouts. Before beginning the second month, you there is a recovery week and these workouts are not as intense. This is done to recover from the first month and prepare you for the second month.
